This guide is intended to get you up and running quickly with your emteqPRO as a stand-alone device (without HMD). Simply follow the 3 simple steps below; Attaching the emteqPRO Mask your computer, run a demo application to save raw sensor data, and using out SuperVision monitoring application to view data in real-time. If at any point you need assistance consult the more detailed manuals and our FAQ or contact our support team.
The EmteqPRO Open-Face Mask is also the emteqPRO Mask for Vive Pro and can be used in either configuration.
Once you receive you emteqPRO Mask you can begin by selecting either the narrow or wide side pieces and insert them into the slots on the mask. You can see more detailed instructions here.
Once done you can use the provided USB cable to attach the emteqPRO Mask to your computer. After a few seconds you should see a pop-up like this:
To process and save DAB data from the emteqPRO Mask you will need an application containing
Core Services. In this example we will use the emteqvr-demos-desktop-X.Y.Z.zip.
Once you have downloaded the ZIP you can unpack it somewhere and run the
EmteqDemosDesktop.exe to load the application. You may receive a warning confirming that you want to run the app under Windows 10 the first time you open the application.
You will see a mask indicator in the top right of the window with values rapidly updating, this means the mask is fully connected. However if these values are on
0 you may need to plug in the mask again or restart the application.
Lastly to view real time data as the mask is being used you can use our SuperVision app. Also found under the downloads page, or directly linked here.
Unpack this ZIP file and install the app, once installed it will run automatically. It will be kept updated whenever a new version becomes available.
When running both EmteqVR SDK and SuperVision on the same computer the default settings will allow a connection.
If you are using the applications on different computers on the same network you will need to update the IP settings in the SuperVision app. More detailed instructions can be found here.
